Mahavir International, Delhi was established in 1979 and ever since has been on the forefront for providing quality eye care and general healthcare with a vision to make Delhi a ‘cataract free zone’. The oranisation is running 5 fully equipped charitable hospitals with an excellent team of doctors, para medical staff aided by state of the art facilities.

It was the first hospital to switch from ordinary cataract operations to IOL stitch less operations.

Till now, 2200 free cataract operations and 4 successful cornea transplants have been carried out. A separate centre has been setup for Glaucoma detection and treatment. Hundreds of checkup camps are held throughout Delhi from time to time for health and eye checkups, treatment and cataract operations.

Mobile Medicare units are also under operation to provide free medical facilities and to distribute free medicines to the destitute. So far, more than 3,30,000 people have benefited from these initiatives.
