3 Homemade Papad recipes you must try this summer!

Masala papad, the heart of any Indian meal, is a delicious snack made using fried papad topped with a tangy onion-tomato mix.

Let’s learn how to make this ecstasy in 2 different ways :

RECIPE 1

Ingredients

1. Papad

2. Onions

3. Tomato

4. Red chili powder

5. Roasted cumin powder

6. Chaat masala

7. Salt

8. Lime juice

9. Oil

10. Coriander (to garnish)

Steps

1. Add all the masala papad toppings to a bowl and mix well. Keep a check on salt as chaat masala has it too.

2. Take the papads and shallow fry them for a few seconds. Don’t wait for them to turn brown.

3. Remove the papads and drain the oil. Place the papads on a tissue to let the excess oil be absorbed.

4. Dress the papads with the topping you prepared and garnish it with coriander.

5. Voila, it’s ready! Serve it already, or else it'll be soggy.

RECIPE 2

Ingredients

1. Papad

2. Onions

3. Tomatoes

4. Salt

5. Red chili powder

6. Roasted cumin powder

7. Chaat masala

8. Lemon juice

9. Nylon sev (to garnish)

Steps

1. Add all the masala papad toppings to a bowl and mix well. Keep a check on salt as chaat masala has it too.

2. Take the papads and roast them for a few seconds from both sides on medium flame.

3. Dress the papads with the topping you prepared. Fill the papads with the toppings.

4. Add nylon sev and coriander over your prepared dish.

5. Voila, it’s ready! Serve it already, or else it'll be soggy.

RECIPE 3

Ingredients

1. Onion

2. Tomato

3. Coriander

4. Green chili

5. Papad

6. Chilli papad

7. Chaat masala

Steps

1. Chop onion, coriander, and green chili finely.

2. Deseed the tomato and chop it as well.

3. Add salt, and lemon juice and mix everything well.

4. Heat a Tawa, add a little oil to it, and roast the papads on a medium flame using a spatula till they turn golden brown.

5. Transfer the papad to a plate and add your topping over it, sprinkle some chaat masala over it.

6. And that’s it, your tangy snack is ready!
